Diamond Creek Mural Festival

Chartered in 1992, the Rotary Club of Diamond Creek has a proud history of service to the wider Community of Diamond Creek. Our mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. 

Proud to share our dedication to service, the Rotary Club of Diamond Creek Mural Festival showcased the artistic talent and creativity fostered within the community. 

The Diamond Creek Mural Festival officially launched on the 1st November 2020 and was proudly supported by Veronica’s Pantry Diamond Creek, Ray White Diamond Creek and the Hurstbridge, Diamond Creek, Doreen-Mernda, Kinglake Community Bank Branches. 

The festival encouraged individuals, families, businesses, schools and community groups to share their creativity under the bridging theme ‘what community means to you’, the murals celebrated the spirit of the Diamond Creek and wider Nillumbik community through engaging young members of the community. 

Registration was free and courtesy of Veronica’s Pantry Diamond Creek the first 100 entrants received a ‘Mural Starter Kit’ that included: three primary paint colours: yellow, blue and red, a paint brush set and one canvas to promote the creative spirit. Interested persons entered their details online via the Diamond Creek Rotary website as the event was held and managed online. 

The festival closed on the 7th December 2020 allowing participants a month to enter their creations. In total approximately 17 individuals entered their creative work one of whom was awarded a $1000 Diamond Creek Traders Gift voucher and two participants were awarded feature prizes valued at $500, the winners were nominated by the three sponsors of the festival.
