The Rotary Club of Diamond Creek is proud to support Run out of Poverty.

 This charity was established by an Olympic athlete, Tony Benson who competed in the 1972 Olympics in Berlin.

He was employed as the national coach of the Philippines between 1979 & 1983 as well as Australia between 1988 & 1993. 

Providing Athletes Scholarships

Run out of Poverty provides athletic scholarships for the less fortunate elementary age children in Davao City in the Philippines. Tony provides free coaching to students who are interested in running and in this way provides them with the opportunity to qualify for a university Track and Field scholarships so they can “Run out of Poverty”
