The Meeting of May 8th, 2018
The Meeting was opened at 7pm by President Kerry Jones

Attendance numbers: 20
Apologies: Tina Elmer, Emerald Leyden, Rob Lloyd and David Palermo.
Correspondence: Bank statements and 3 requests for a site for the town fair.
Treasurer: Greg Adams enlightened the club as to where the money was moving.
PDG John Gatt for the Town Fair, said everything is going well, and that they have enough members to go to the Presentation Night at the Bendigo Bank.
John Gatt also mentioned that he has collected 17,000 raffle tickets from the RC Emerald for their Community Raffle, and that he has set aside 500 tickets for Arthur Lewin to take charge of and give to the club.
PP Linda Gidlund said that she went to Rotaract last night and was impressed with their numerous projects.
She will be assisting the newly formed Interact club on Thursday with their first project.
Linda spoke about a combined conference of RYLA Districts where they spoke about their different programs and shared information.
PP Steve Crosling reported via a letter that he has sold another Shelterbox to the RC Greensborough and also that he has delivered 240 Biwek Scan Kits to ten pharmacies locally.
PP Greg Paull auctioned off many jars of honey for ridiculous sums of money destined for Foundation.
Fine Session: Martin did a good job of relieving pockets of their heavy monetary contents.

Susie spoke eloquently and at length about the various problems facing Rotary in general and some of the possible solutions used by clubs in Victorian Districts to gain members.
She stressed to have fun and do work that would engage young people.
For Media she said that only younger members faces were used.
Chair Beau Matthews stated that a donation of $10 would be made to Rotarians against Malaria, for mosquito repellent bed nets in Papua New Guinea.
PP Greg Paull announced that the sale of honey had raised $670
The Raffle raised $52 and the Bottle of wine was won by: Roger Knight
The Fines and Happy Bucks raised $ 41.90
The Foundation Silver Pot raised $12.40
Coming Events: There will be a mystery surprise guest next week.
The Meeting closed at 8.15 pm with the toast to Rotary International.
