Treasurer: Greg Adams has sent the EREY Contributions sent off to Foundation
PDG John Gatt notified the club that Grand Parade organiser for the town Fair, Emerald Leyden will be unable to continue in that position die to personal commitments. Gary Hennessey will take on the position with the help of Arthur and Emerald and others in the club. Ray O’Meara will assist Phil Chambeyron with the banners. Heidi Crundwell.
President Kerry Jones reported that PP Pat Millar is still in hospital. Kerry also communicated to the club a letter from the Rotarian visitors last week, Eric and Margaret. Kerry also called for assistance with the sourcing of raffle goods for changeover night.
Purchase of a Melbourne Tram for Diamond Creek. The Men’s shed have indicated they will assist with maintenance, however there are too many unknown factors for our Rotary club members. More information is requested and there will be a meeting tomorrow with the community etc about the tram.
The Administration Account Greg Adams has sent the EREY payment of $100 per person to Foundation leaving $436 in the account, rasing thepossibility of increasing the club fees next financial year, as to keep afloat the raffle and sergeant’s fines have gone into the Admin Account. There is a minimum of 20 for meals and the charge is $22 , so $440 has to be paid each night.
The Paradise School Members felt that they did not want to support two schools, one in Kenya, the Tenderfoot school was enough. The secretary will write a letter.
Hurstbridge Junior Football club Application for funding. The members felt the information supplied was too vague. The secretary will write a letter.
ROOP Greg Adams wanted ideas and support from the club as to how to raise more money for the Additional payment for the Coaches, a Bus to transport the athletes, and a sand running track - estimated at $1000. Members suggested a web site with a donation button, and grants from our District and Davao as well matched by Rotary International. More information is needed.
Greg Adams mentioned that he had spoken to Renee from “The Dream” and they were considering forming a company as council’s money is committed for the next five years.
The Raffle raised $ 58 and the Bottle of wine was won by: Arthur Lewin
The Foundation Silver Pot raised $8
Coming Events: The next week’s meeting to Epping was canceeleed and now will e at Platters with a surprise speaker.
The Meeting closed at 7.45 pm with the toast to Rotary International.
