MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF DIAMOND CREEK ROTARY HELD ON TUESDAY 10TH APRIL 2018
Kerry opened the meeting and called for a Toast to Australia
Guests: Mark Rusic, Guest Speaker and his daughter, Josie, Carol Lewin and District Governor Nominee Brian Peters.
Kerry announced that we have received the Certificate of Organisation for the Interact Club at Diamond Valley College. This means that they are ready to be chartered. A date will be selected when they return to school after the holidays. She also reported that the de-brief meeting for The Dream was held today and all in all it was very successful. Over 1400 people attended over the six nights. The Mental Health Sub Committee is planning the Forum and the date has been set for 14th June.
Greg Adams informed the club that we have money.
Linda asked for someone to assist her with the Interact Club – Rob volunteered.

Greg Paull acknowledged Steve Crosling’s success at Conference by selling seven Shelter Boxes.
Greg Adams reported on the Run Out of Poverty. They have had numerous pairs of runners donated to them by Mizuno. By selling a couple of the adult pairs, they were able to raise the money for the freight for them to be shipped to the Philippines.
Brian Peters gave a brief address to the club.
Sergeant Martin Sadle ran the fines session.
Chairman for the evening, Arthur Lewin took the chair and introduced the Guest Speaker, Mark Rusic.
Mark spoke about his journey to writing and illustrating two books, ‘Iconic Melbourne’ and ‘Iconic Animals’. Both books contain his poems, paintings, photographs and illustrations.
The Raffle was drawn and won by Arthur Lewin.
Kerry closed the meeting and made a toast to the Rotary Club of Albury West and Rotary International.
