This week's Guest Speaker is Steve Bell, a mountaineer who has climbed the Seven Summits (the highest point in all seven continents). His achievements have included climbing the Matterhorn at the age of 18 and the Eiger at the age of 20 and Everest on a number of occasions. He is the founder of Jagged Globe, a business which guides its clients to the summit of Mount Everest.
Steve is the author of two books: 'Seven Summits - the Quest to Reach the Highest Point on Every Continent' and 'Virgin on Insanity - Coming of Age in the World's Toughest Mountains.'
Steve says, "I am lucky to be alive. I've taken crazy chances and made bad mistakes, but I'm grateful for every one of them because they've taught me lessons I can share. So let me share them with you - let me take you on a wild ride of gut-wrenching epics with insights that illuminate leadership and teamwork, passion and risk. Whatever message you need to hear, I can show you the view from the top of the world."
This talk should be a fascinating insight into the world of mountain climbing, taking risks and momentous achievements. Come along and join us.
